One More Time!

Cara-Lyn and her mom asked a great question. "If you added food colouring to the boiling water would the cloud turn white or be the colour?" We were very curious so we tried the experiment again adding food colouring.

Jan. 24th - Weather Turns Warm: Temp. -3 Windchill -11

When the weather turned warm and we threw boiling water into the air it only evaporated a little little bit. The water just hit the ground. We learned that if the weather is warm the water will hit the ground. - Hayden

We threw hot water into the air it fell onto the ground. Only a little evaporated. The weather needs to be colder. - Cara-Lyn

Working With The Frigid Weather: Temp. - 28 Windchill -36

We used a kettle to make the water heat up. Then we went outside and threw the water into the air. The water evaporated. We all ran to it. It was a lot of fun. - Hana

We ran to the fog. Some of us fell down because we couldn't see. The fog went up up into the air. We thought it might turn into a cloud, but it didn't.  It just evaporated. - Ethan

Goodbye Madison! We Will Miss You!

Madison is moving back to Thompson to be with her family. We enjoyed getting to know her and will miss her.  Good luck Madison!

Gingerbread Hunt

We had so much at the hunt. We had a good time finding the Gingerbread Man. I like to go to school. I had to look in the library and in Mrs. Skog's office and by the water fountain. I found him on the top of the house. - Lucas

We looked for the Gingerbread Man. There was a clue by the water fountain and in Mrs Skog's office and in the library and the office. We baked gingerbread cookies and the we decorated them. It was fun. - Madison

 

Christmas Concert

   

We sang "Jolly Old St. Nicholas", "Up On The Rooftop" and "Jingle Bells". We sang with Mrs. Penno and the other grade 1/2 classes. I had fun. - Mark

Goodbye Tina! We Will Miss You!

Today was Tina's last day in Morris School. She is moving back to Alberta to be with her brother and sisters. Tina was a great friend to everyone and we will really miss her. Wishing you all the best!

Morris Museum

We went to the Morris Museum. Mr. and Mrs. McCrady showed us around the museum. We saw a scale and we weighed ourselves. She showed us a little toy train, old toys, old school house, and an old desk. They gave us a cookie and a drink. I had fun. - Danya

We walked to the museum. We walked around the museum. We saw a piano, cars, and dolls. We also saw tools that they used a long time ago. We had a cookie. I liked going to the museusm. - Nick

Our First Born Beetle

Madison and Hayden found our first born beetle on November 25th at 2:45 pm. We were all shouting because we were sooooooooo excited!!! We named him BB.

Meeting Chris Hadfield

I had the privilege of meeting Commander Chris Hadfield at McNally Bookstore. After waiting 3 hours in line...... he finally signed a copy of his new book called "An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth". It was worth the wait.

Halloween

We used flour to make dough. We make cookies out of dough. We used shapes to press into the dough. I used a pumpkin shape. We put the cookies into the oven. Then we put sprinkles on them. They tasted good. - Alisha

We took the top off the pumpkin and then we took the seeds out. My mom came to help us. There were 800 seeds. We guessed how many kilograms our pumpkin weighed. Mine weighed 7 kg. We also measured how tall our pumpkin was. My mom carved a jack-o-lantern vampire. And I had fun doing it. I did not like touching the pulp.  - Hayden

We had fun at our party. There were 2 people dressed up as Iron Man. I was an Elf. We looked at the Auto body Shop to show them our costumes. We got to do activities in the gym. There was a haunted house and I got 6 candies. The teachers were Minions. - Tate
