Student Vote 2019
More than 1.1 million early, middle and high school school students
participated in Student Vote Canada 2019, coinciding with the 2019
federal election. On October 23rd, 1,189,614 votes were reported from 8,005 schools, with results from 338 federal ridings. The grade 1/2M class participated in the Student Vote and learned what the voting process is all about. Terry Fox Run
Although it was a very cold and windy day, the K-6 students and community ran or walked for the Terry Fox Foundation. We raised $2400! We would like to thank everyone that supported this great cause.

Orange Shirt Day
Orange Shirt Day is an annual event held on September 30th to honour the survivors of the Residential School System in Canada and their families. The symbolic orange shirt came from Phyllis' story of being given a new orange shirt to wear on her first day of school. Her shirt was taken away from her upon arriving at school and never returned.
