Monty the Parrot!

In the book Because of Winn Dixie, one of the pets is a parrot name Gertrude. We thought it would be fun to have Cheryl Crick bring her parrot named Monty to school. We had a great time meeting him and learned a lot about parrots. Parrots are an endangered bird living up to 80 years old. We want to thank Mrs. Crick for sharing Monty with us!

Deer Meadow Farms

The Grade 3/4 classes went to Deer Meadow Farms for a field trip. We climbed on the bale pyramid, visited all the animals at animal alley, enjoyed the wagon ride through the deer sanctuary and found Ms Martens in the corn maze. We had such a great time and were so thankful for the amazing weather. Enjoy the video.

EVERY CHILD MATTERS

The K-4 students participated in an art project for Orange Shirt Day. Each student chose words to finish this sentence: I matter because I am _______. Some of the words they picked were: thoughtful, awesome, helpful, kind, smart, etc. The project is displayed in our hallway and it is an important reminder that Every Child Matters.
