 Today we travelled to the South Africa and learned a lot from Lucian's country project. Some fun facts about South Africa are:

- the currency is rand

- Nelson Mandela was a very historic person who worked for years to end apartheid

- the springbok is the national animal

- arnis is the National sport

- meaning of the colours in the flag: the blue stands for peace and the red stands for honour 

- Chocolate Hills are a great place to visit

UKRAINE

Today we travelled to Ukraine and learned a lot from David’s country project. Some fun facts about Ukraine are:

- the meaning of the flag: the blue is the sky and the yellow is the wheat fields

- the National animal is the nightingale 

- Ukraine has won a total of 120 medals at the Olympics

JORDAN

Today we travelled to Jordan and learned a lot from Jordynn’s country project. Some fun facts about Jordan are:

- the language is Arabic 

- the currency is dinar

- there are over 100 000 archeological sites in Jordan
