Thank You Family Studies Class!

During the past three Thursdays Ms Rivard and her Family Studies students organized various activities with the Grade 1/2M class. All of us had a great time and we would like to thank Ms Rivard and her students for all of the work they did. It was very much appreciated! Watch the video to get a glimpse of what happened. - Ms Martens

We played snakes and ladders. It was very kind of them to make the game. We had to roll a dice and move to a different spot. We had lots of fun. The other group made paper airplanes. One hit me in the head. They had to see how far they could fly. – Stanley

One Thursday we played laser tag. We had to crawl under string and get to the other side. If you touched the string you had to start all over again. We also made fortune tellers. – Autumn

We made chocolate chip cookies and we coloured. I put in the sugar. We also put in chocolate chips, salt, oatmeal, flour, eggs and butter. We ate the chocolate chip cookies when they were done. We got two each. - Abby

The students were then allowed to look at books and tour the library. Thank you Mrs. Ali for taking the time to read to our class. We had a great time! - Ms Martens

DIPPING SNOWFLAKES!

First we had a coffee filter, then we dipped it in food colouring and you shouldn't dip it too much because otherwise it will just be one colour. Then you let it dry and then you cut it. Don't cut too much or it won't look that good. If you cut the top corner off then you are going to have a circle in the middle of your snowflake. It was really fun making it.
Andrew

We dipped the coffee filter into the food colouring and we made snowflakes. We cut the snowflakes out. Then we glued it on construction paper. I used red, blue, purple, green and yellow. - Charity

I liked the way the other snowflakes turned out and mine. My snowflake is very cool because it is very great for Valentine's Day. It has hearts on it. I used blue, green. yellow and red. - Matteo
