HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We put eggs and oil in a bowl. We mixed it together. The colours were orange and brown. We were baking cupcakes. We put icing and sprinkles on the cupcakes. They were delicious. - Carmen

We made some orange and then we made some brown. We put half orange into the muffin tin and then we put half chocolate in the muffin tin. We took them home if we wanted. It was fun baking cupcakes. - Alexis

Ms Martens cut the top off. I got to take out the guts and seeds. It felt yucky. We carved the pumpkin and we baked the seeds. They tasted good. We had a lot of fun. - Damon

We had to take out the goo. Ms Martens cut off the top. AJ didn't like to touch the goo. We made jack-o-lanterns. It was fun. - Taylor

We have a pupa!

Oct. 30th - Our first pupa!

We have mealworms. They are pretty cool. I had so many in my hand. They are really squirmy. We now have 3 in the pupa stage. They start off as an egg, then they are a mealworm, then a pupa and then a beetle. The pupa is very cool and twitches. A mealworm has 6 legs. When we got them the little ones were very excited, but the big ones not very much. When you touch their back they squirm. They are awesome. - Zach

Grade 1/2 Field Trip

We went to the Manitoba Museum and the Science Gallery. I liked when we went into the mirrors and we kept slipping in there. I went into the space rocket and sat on a dolly and pushed it around. We went into the snake pit. We saw wolves and felt the fox fur. I'm glad I went. - Raydence

We went to the museum on a bus. The bus ride was good and I fell asleep. I liked the Nonsuch at the Manitoba Museum. I liked building a car at the Science Gallery. I got to race my car. We saw fossils, a polar bear, buffalo, and a whale. It was a good day and I had fun! - Carmen

The fox fur was cool. The buffalo fur was cool and the bear fur was cool too. I liked going into the cave. We saw a tee pee. I wish we could have gone into it, but we aren't allowed. I liked the theater and the Science Gallery. I wish we could have stayed in there longer. I liked going on the space pull. I liked the Nonsuch because it was huge! I liked going in the houses and into the sea. We learned about the Aboriginals and how they hunted for buffalo and beavers. I had a great time! - Zach
