June School Visits!
It was a very different end to our school year but I'm very thankful that you were able to see the caterpillars or the chrysalis or the butterflies at the school visits. It was great to see all of you. :) And as many of you said it was fun to see each other "in person or live".
I want to wish everyone a wonderful summer and all the best as you either go into grade 2 or 3. I am very proud of all of you and was honoured to have been your teacher.

June 22nd - And Then There Were 10!
It was quite the day with 7 new butterflies! Watch the videos to see what happens.
June 21st - Now we have 3!
The 2 new butterflies are drying their wings. The red liquid is called meconium and it is the leftover part of the caterpillar that was not needed to make the butterfly. This is stored in the intestine of the butterfly and is released after the butterfly emerges.
