Design Process - Animal Cage

K-4 Celebrate Black History Month

The K-4 students researched and wrote about important Black Canadians throughout February. They enjoyed reading stories and watching videos about inspirational Black Canadians. A big thank you to Destiny Klassen for taking all of the students research and making a beautiful quilt in the Early Years Gym.

Baking Me-Balls

Me-Balls

 

¼ cup peanut butter

2 tbsp margarine

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp cocoa

½ cups oats

 

Instructions:

1. Combine all ingredients except the oats.

2. Add the oats a little at a time. Adjust the oats depending on how gooey you like it.

3. Make 4-6 Me-Balls and place them on wax paper. Place in the refrigerator for an hour or so.

 

William - China

Fun facts about China:

They are the most populated country in the world in 2020.

The population is 1.938 billion.

They own all the pandas in the world. If you see a panda in a zoo it is on loan from China.

Fun facts of Italy:

Pizza is the popular food in Italy. It is uncommon to hear Italians say they don't like pizza.

Italy is home of Europe's only 3 active volcanoes.

The national animal is a wolf.

My mom made homemade pizza! Yummy!

Fun facts about England:

The national food is chicken tikka masala.

The national animal is a lion.

A place to visit is Buckingham Palace.

Acadia - Mexico

Fun facts about Mexico:

Mexico City is sinking.

Cancun is a great place to visit.

Their national animal is the golden eagle.

I made the dolphin in Mexico.

I am holding a unicorn sculpture.

We went on a ship and I got my face painted.

Fun facts about the Philippines:

I was born in the Philippines.

The national sport is Arnis.
