I started Ms Martens' Classroom Blog in November 2011 as a space to share pictures and videos of our classroom memories. Looking back through the posts, I'm very grateful that I did because there are so many amazing adventures and activities! And now I write my final post as a classroom teacher.
When I was hired in 1992 my plan was to stay at Morris School for a few years to gain some experience....33 years later, I have gained my experience :)
Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement during my career and for appeasing me with my crazy ideas during I love to read, Olympics, and group activities. I have so many wonderful memories and deeply cherish the friendships I've made and the many students I've had the privilege to teach. My motto has always been "It's a journey, not a race," and I'm honoured to have shared my teaching journey with all of you.
And a shout out to my team! So many forced fun team activities and so many laughs. Your friendship and support over the years has meant the world to me! It's not WHERE you work, but WHO you work with that makes a job worth going to every day! Oh the places you'll go! Thank you!
