Halloween and Winn Dixie Party!

The Winn Dixie party was fun. The movie was really good, but what was best of all we had sandwiches, hard candies, cookies and dump punch. Dump punch is orange and grapefruit juice and sprite. It was a really good party. I brought dog pictures of my 2 dogs, Parker and Daisy and my Grandma's dog, Gracie. She is really cute. Halloween was really fun. A few days ago, before Halloween, we carved pumpkins. My group did a little bit of each design we made. I choose the nose. It was really fun and we did pumpkin experiments. For example how heavy a pumpkin is and how tall it is and how many seeds are in it. The costumes at the party were really good costumes. Some were vampires, Wyatt was a ghost buster and I was Ron Weasley from Harry Potter. - Liam Wilson

Fort Whyte!

At Fort Whyte we went on a hike up the hill. And on our hike we made little footprints in the sandbox. We ate our lunch. A big lunch. Lots of us were loud and some kids had stuffed cheeks like squirrels. I really liked climbing the hill because I could see most of the city. We saw a lot of bison. We saw a big one and its about 1000 pounds. I hope that I can go again! - Tamarah

At Fort Whyte we saw bison, owls, fish and animals from the prairies. We saw a sod house and a teepee. We learned how they would cook and what they would use. For critter dipping we had to use a bucket and a net. Randi and I found a fly and a spider. I tried to dig deep in the water, but all I found was mud. It was the best field trip ever! - Danya

It was so much fun. Taylor and I got two seashells when we were critter dipping. We also found a lot of green algae. I saw a ground hog go into his hole and an owl flying. While we were on the hike I learned that we never ever go near a dangerous animal.  - Emma

Terry Fox Run!

The reason why we had the run is to raise money for people that have cancer. We ran at the Stampede Grounds and everybody had lots of fun. - Zula

I hope next year we can raise even more money and figure out the research and find a cure. I loved the run and wish we could run longer. - Jax

I hope we raise a lot of money for Terry Fox and run around town. - Brennan

Mrs. Funk and Ms Johnson's New Book

"Derek and the Magical Forest"

The story is about a boy who couldn't talk or walk. He needed to have a wheelchair. My Grandma was a part of Derek's class so that is why she published this book. :)  Ethan

This is a good book because I liked that they made it into a colouring book. I hope they had fun making the book. I liked that it was named after a student. - Addy

I liked the book because it was a really nice book. I liked the guy that could fly in his wheelchair. - Brayden
